The Morgan 1/4 troy ounce round contains .999 of fine silver and is a replica of the Morgan dollar United States coin minted from 1878 to 1904, and then again in 1921. The Morgan coin is named for its designer, United States Mint Assistant Engraver George T. Morgan. The obverse (front) depicts a profile portrait representing Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap with the motto “LIBERTY inscribed in the headband. The reverse (back) depicts an eagle with wings outstretched and the motto “ IN GOD WE TRUST inscribed above it. The mints device appears on the bottom and the round’s weight and purity stamped around the top, left and right sides.
