This went straight into my 2007 car which has RC connectors in the center console but no bluetooth for audio. It has BT for phone calls but cannot play music of podcasts or audiobooks. The box contains all the cables you will need be it RC or aux jack, and power USB power plugs.I like this in my car because it powers on/off when the power is applied and disconnected via ignition. My 12v port is not constantly powered. I’m not sure if this has a battery, so look at the description. I was more interested in something that shuts down and powers up.My phone connects instantly when I get in the car and as soon as I hit play, I am listening.Setting it up was simple and quick. I had it installed and running in less than 5 minutes. It has one big button you need to press and hold to make the initial connection, but after that, its all automatic. It is a bit bigger than some other items, 2″x2″x1″ (?) so if you can run your RC output into the glovebox or somewhere, that’s perfect, and it wont be bouncing and rolling around your car.FYI, this item will certainly work with an older home stereo receiver via the RC jacks. I have a similar unit and this is great for connecting your modern devices to your classic, high-end audio.
